POLICIES AND

COMMITMENTS

ESTABLISHED ON JUNE 2020
UPDATED ON JULY 2020

Financial Contributions

Chapter 2 will be committing a minimum yearly donation of company profits in an even split dedicated to financially supporting the organizations that our employees care about in what will be an ongoing effort. While we will not require employees to make a case for their select organizations, we will be doing the appropriate vetting and using our final discretion with all funds donated on behalf of the company. We encourage all our employees to do their due diligence in researching the organizations they present for company donations. Selected charitable organizations will be supported on our website and social media platforms as organizations Chapter 2 employees have decided to support.

Internal Policy For Zero Tolerance for Workplace Discrimination

Chapter 2 will be working with HR consultants and our board of advisors on expanding our internal and external policy to combat discrimination in our work environment and institute a zero tolerance policy for violating actions and behaviors. We are committed to providing resources for this including education courses, unconscious bias and microaggression training, and a third party HR resource for anonymous reporting.

Firm Commitment to Diverse Representation in our Company Team and Client Roster

Inclusion starts with us. Chapter 2 is committing to a minimum of 50% of our team to be all minorities (inclusive of anyone who identifies with a minority group) and of 20% of our team and client roster representing Black talent. We know there’s plenty of qualified candidates in our inclusive community and we will be more proactive about hiring and signing on diverse creatives.

Pro-Bono Work for Minority Owned Brands

Chapter 2 will continue to make a proactive effort to promote and actively help incubate and grow minority owned businesses by providing full pro-bono services. We will not be disclosing which clients will be enrolled in the pro-bono program in an effort to ensure they receive the same sense of urgency and priority as paying clients. Chapter 2 will also be erasing any debts in the form of unpaid invoices or expenses that were fronted by the company in a further effort to not contribute to the financial burden of debt in the Black creative community. We will be taking on new Black owned brands for this pro-bono program, as well as switching over certain Black owned businesses we currently represent into this structure.

Mental Health Resources and Support

We’re also making a clear stance that we are here to fight for better mental health resources and support for the community that is directly in our network. In addition to mental health resources that are already covered within the insurance programs Chapter 2 is adding company supported Employee Assistance Programs that are not covered by insurance.

Transparency and Accountability

Chapter 2 believes that these commitments are meaningless unless there is transparency in the status and accountability to completion of these actions. We are putting in place internal and external communications protocols for all our promises. All policies will be posted on our website and on our social media platforms for full visibility to staff, applicants, clients and our industry. We promise accountability in the format of 120-day reporting and announcements. When possible, we will list specific actions, benchmarks, identify organizations and provide any needed adjustments to policies we put in place. We welcome feedback on the improvements of these policies and look forward to partnership of our entire network in their implementation.
